Create A Website Secrets

by Tem Balanco

I have dealt with a vast array of clients during the past 8 years that I have been doing web design and web coding. Many of these clients assume that it is necessary to possess a degree in design or programming, or to have much more experience than they have achieved, in order to create a website. This is a common misunderstanding. Creating a website is much easier than most people think - and it should be fun!

When you create a website, the best way to begin is by having your design concept in mind. In the past, many people have found graphic software to be useful, but today we are seeing that the software is not necessary to design a basic site on your own. Currently, there are numerous image sites available on the web that will resize your images, add fun and interesting graphic effects and help you change your photos from color to black and white free of charge.

When you create a website, there are a wide variety of services across the internet both for free web hosting and for paid web hosting. For someone who is new to creating sites, it may be more beneficial to set up with free hosting initially as you learn the skills to create better and better sites. The benefit in using free hosting services is that many of these sites also have free HTML editors.

"What You See Is What You Get" or WYSISYG HTML editors are the most practical and effective programs for newcomers to website design. This approach allows you to display all aspects of your page on the screen and preview how it will look after it is published. For those just starting out who are not yet well versed in the terminology, this is much easier that completely coding a website by hand in a .txt file.

After you have gained some experience with designing and coding, you might want to thing about moving on from a free WYSIWYG editor to more advanced software to develop your websites. Some editors have the option of switching between a WYSIWYG editor and writing code to build your site. As your coding skills advance, this may be a better option for you than a strictly WYSIWYG editor.

In any way, learning to create a website can be a fun and at the same time demanding activity. As you become more expert in doing it, you can eventually grow even bigger as to offer your very own design skills on the market for sale for others wishing to learn to create sites. That's exactly how I started with web design back when I was in school, and today it serves as the sole mean of earning my living. It may demand your persistence and research, however, after some time, it will become a fun skill that anyone can learn to do.

As someone who has done web design and web coding for the last 8 years for a wide variety of clients, I have come across a wide variety of clientele who have the assumption that to create a website, one must have a degree in design or programming and far more experience than they have or hope to possess. Quite the opposite is actually true. One can learn to create a web site in a short amount of time. The process can not only be fun, but much easier than you think. Indeed, anyone can master the basics quite rapidly.
